Recognise the symbols

The original Big Bass Bonanza is easiest to read when its symbols are separated by their jobs. A fisherman, a money fish and a scatter may share the same screen, but they do not do the same thing. This atlas keeps the original game distinct from Bigger Bass Bonanza, Bonanza Megaways and Bonanza 1000.

Base game

Regular symbols

The lower-value and picture symbols form the visible base-game combinations. Read their values in the client’s paytable.

Feature

Money fish

A fish carries a displayed value. During the feature, that value matters when a collecting wild appears alongside it.

Feature

Fisherman wild

The fisherman is the collecting symbol in free spins. Its presence and the money symbols on that screen need to be read together.

Feature

Scatter

Three, four and five scatter symbols trigger the different initial free-spin allocations. Do not confuse a scatter with a money fish.

Fish symbols and displayed values

A fish’s displayed amount is a money-symbol value. In the feature, a wild can collect the visible money symbols. Seeing a value and collecting it are different events: use the final round result to identify what the client actually credited.

Big Bass Bonanza base-game reels
Original practice-game reels; virtual credit and the photographed currency are not a payout claim.

The provider describes money symbols with values up to 2,000× in the bonus game. This is a symbol-value statement from the manufacturer’s description, not a prediction for the next spin or a claim about total session profit. The screenshots preserve the international demo’s own currency.

What the fisherman collects

  1. Find a wild

Identify the collecting fisherman during free spins.

  2. Read the fish

Check which money symbols are visible on that round.

  3. Read the result

Keep collected amounts separate from stake and balance.

  4. Follow the counter

Every fourth wild can retrigger ten additional spins.

Read the free spins screen

The manufacturer lists three, four and five scatters as triggers for ten, fifteen and twenty free spins. Every fourth wild retriggers ten additional spins, with collection multipliers of 2×, 3× and 10× across the first three retriggers. Those stages describe how the feature can progress, not a promise that it reaches its highest stage.

Where these game details come from

Source and edition

Pragmatic Play: Big Bass Bonanza, read on 12 October 2026. The demo launcher is the source page’s official original-game client. The images show the international English interface and its own virtual currency. Different casino configurations may use different values; the rules in a particular client take precedence.

The official product page displays96.71% theoretical RTP. It describes a mathematical long-run model and does not promise a personal repayment percentage. Different configurations can exist; check the particular client’s rules. The guide does not rate casinos or claim that a practice round verifies an operator’s payment process.
